Mist Drapes & Insomnia Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Mist Drapes & Insomnia

Mist drapes the city at night
A whole week has passed,
& nothing feels new.
The mist comes in & makes
everything brand new.
&
My eyes wide and woke
Like the light from the tallest building
In my dreams
I suffer from the worst case of
insomnia.
I've seen you in a dream & have
Spent every night
My lips tucked in yours
Since.
A week has
passed,
& nothing feels new.
Except for you
