Moan Black Cat, Moan Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Moan Black Cat, Moan

Echoes could be heard against the torn pale wall
Croons that beg of tomorrow's essence
leave yesterday in pain as time quickly lost patience
moments in vain
Pleading
As that chelo strung the thoughts that softly hid in the corner
Finding serenity with the look of an eye
Just one look as heaven implored
Suddenly nothing became as it was
Love was felt through her eye
This feeling lost touch
Reality became blind, lost in a vast array of emotion
Bright hues of yellow kissed the orange lanterns that traced the pale walls
Words began to break
losing way from the lips that spoke them
His words felt the air
His fingers still hummed as that oversized violin played
Her silence beckoned
Suddenly needing every broken word
Just as the breath his fingers took
They gasped long
hard
Taking time to acknowledge such beauty
Her eyes demanded they become more
Seconds could rush no more
Electric was the moment he rushed from the stage to grab her hand
Shoulders bumped through the crowd
as the door was in view
her body growing hotter with each second that passed
Found its way into the hour they sought on the side of the building
Moans slurred as scratches grew longer across his back
Faces told the story pleasure could give
Seconds later she could bare no more as her eyes lost control
He looked to her lips as they never uttered the words he needed to hear
Her heels clicked a step or two away
Again he grabbed her, she turned around, lipstick smired
No words were said as she walked out of his life
