Mobility Poem by Lauren Coles

Mobility

Society can't please all of us,
Different things can make us angry,
Nothing gets my temper skyrocketing when people take advantage of disabled people,
Old people can't get around like they used to,
People take up reserved spaces in the parking lot and they are not even disabled,
In the grocery stores employees have wheelchairs or scooters that people can borrow to help them move around in the store,
Kids find a opportunity to climb up on them,
A person who is accompanying the individual who has the ability issue must show some kind of identification to prove that they are really disabled,
Cameras were invented for a reason,
Not all people are honest,
People don't care what it's like to have something as precious as mobility taken away,
Life is unpredictable and your life can change forever at any time and place.
