Mommy...3 - Poem by sarah sorkin

There was the time when you gave birth to me,
there was the time when we would always sing the eagles in the car on out way to mississippi.
there was the time when you would rub my belly when i was young because my stomach hurt,
there was the times when you called me your pookypooh and kiss me on my cheek.
there was the time when you would say you would never leave my side for anything,
always be there for me.
there was the time when you were the only person i could talk to,
but then there was the time when i would visit you in the hospital every other week for 10 years of my life.
there was the time when i thought i would never see you again,
there was the time when i would hold your hand as i watched your eyes daze.
you looked so confused,
but i never gave up on you.
there was the time when you promised you would never go back to the hospital,
now that, that is accomplished i hold onto you tighter then ever,
and love you more, now and forever. <3
