M-orning light of new year
A-ims to make a promise;
L-ovely break of fresh day
H-as vowed a life of bliss.
Y-ear's first morning light
N-ever will fail your dream;
E-arly twenty-fourth of December brings a preview of gleam.

M-orning light of new year
A-ims to leave the twlight;
R-ay of hope from the sky
I-s now truly in sight.
A-s the initial dawn will break,
N-ight will surely disappear;
O-n the first of January, see the morning light of new year.
