Morning Twilight Poem by Walterrean Salley

Morning Twilight

Morning twilight
Precedes the day.
It’s neither day nor night,
Light nor dark-
But an all gray moment,
Like a smoke screen
In which jubilant colors
Are subdued and objects
Are barely seen.

The twilight of life;
A period of uncertainty,
It always precedes a new day.
