Mortals... Gods... Eh... - Poem by Keith Taylor
Many people think that there is only one King,
Who rules over all, everyone, everything.
Well, I come here to tell you how
That there are Gods that walk among us now!
Gods do not live above the clouds.
Some wish they could, but must live aground.
They do what we do, these mighty Deities,
Though some have crooked priorities.
There are a few that could care less about us.
To them we are nothing but puppets.
Still scarce are ones who have love for all,
That keep fighting for right, and will never fall.
Because many Lords' minds still must flower,
They have no knowledge of their true power
To corrupt and destroy or straighten and heal.
It all depends on the Deity's will.
This may cause confusion for the people of Earth,
Who have been taught of one God, one Lord, from birth.
You may not understand, and be nothing but nods,
But the world's in our hands, for Mortals are Gods
