Mother—a Friend Poem by Walterrean Salley

Mother—a Friend

Rating: 5.0

For months she carried us
In her womb.
Very uncomfortable
I’d assume.
Then she brought us
Into the world.
Thus, a new life
To unfurl.
A mother is there
To the end.
No wonder she is
Our best friend.
