Mountains And Clouds Poem by Ruchira Krishnah

Mountains And Clouds

Rating: 4.0

I scrape the skies from the edge of my nails
the clouds curl into my nail bed and skin
I stand on the mountain of sacrifice
the length of which I traverse
through chilling adversity
my heart resists a travesty
the clouds rain snow upon my face
my footprints are buried without a trace
you wonder how i walk these lenghths
ignoring my bleeding feet and strenghth
