Mr. President Putin - Revere Humanity And Peace

Mr. President,
Revere the life of others
just as much as you revere your own;
revere humanity and peace
just as much as the world reveres it;

let the rage and fury calm down
let compassion and mercy rise up;
so many people in thousands have lost their lives
as they have been shot or killed in explosions;
so many hearts of unity have lost their homes
as they have been damaged and destroyed so abruptly.

How callously those bombs and missiles keep falling,
how pitilessly those gunshots and war tanks
keep destroying towns and cities so constantly;
people have been waiting for relief for months
people have been praying for peace ardently;

there is no gain in hatred and enmity
there is only pain and sufferings in war and hostility;
when a war prevails for months so aimlessly
vengeance and retaliation sticks together
like a thick glue under a horseshoe;

and as war is not a kid's play or a child's game,
war is war as it causes many fatalities and mortalities;
war causes widows and orphans
war causes sons to die and mothers to cry.

So, Mr. President, imagine if you were one soldier
in the midst of that war;
imagine the panic and dread you would feel;
and since in all the years of your life
you have been so decent and considerate,
so understanding and so respectful
to all nations and to all the leaders,
why are you insensitive to the tragedies around you,
and why has the word 'peace'
been lost from your vocabulary?

And as time may have escalated animosity,
please don't do things which will impose
more woes and sufferings on innocent people;
please curb their torment and their anguish,
please curtail the terror and the worries they are undergoing.

And it is not another Hiroshima or Nagasaki
that we ever want to see repeated;
it is not another episode of gloom we are waiting to watch
but it is just that one lifetime is all we get live
in this world which is our home to cherish
and then to gift to our future generations
when we depart from this earth finally.

So, please never open a nuclear firework
and terminate the gift of life
as though many people may die
as though many cities may be destroyed
and many voices may be stifled out,
the memory of Hiroshima and Nagasaki
must never return to haunt us again
as though decades have passed since 1945
when bombs were dropped on those two cities,
tears still fill in our eyes when we recollect
or see the pictures of devastation an atomic bomb
had caused and how people were left either disfigured
or dead in those streets and their homes.

So Mr. President, it is only you who can
prevent a catastrophe and deliver respect
to humanity for which the world and me
will be ever grateful to you;
so please revere life and this world,
please revere humanity and peace once again.
