Muted Lights

Darkened clouds move across the night sky.
They puzzle me as does the equation PI.
How can a wisp of air mute a light as though it was fair?
How can a star a billion times stronger than a bear who is willing to fight, go out without the slightest plight?
As the curling wips continue their flight,
we won't know whether that is a star or just a muted light.
