My Blood Is Fire Poem by Daya Nandan

My Blood Is Fire

My blood is fire, flames course through my veins,
It feeds my heart, keeps me warm when it rains,
It keeps me burning even during storms of snow,
It keeps me guided for no darkness can rival my glow,

My blood is fire, it is a reflection of my intense desire,
To achieve my goals, everything under this sky of sapphire,
To fight life’s obstacles, to walk through all its storms,
To face all my doubts and fears in all their many forms

My soul is fire, an unextinguisable colourful flame,
Immortal flames, commandable only under my name,
It fuels my flames, the core of my swirling power,
Flames that dwell within my soul that bloom like a flower,

My soul is fire, there is courage that burns from within,
From the depths of my soul all the way to my outer skin,
And these flames will never stop burning even after my death,
For it's beauty and virtues will be passed on before my last breath.
