A hungry man holds out a dirty hand
A small child whimpers in the street
A dying fish flops in the sand
A limping dog with wounded feet
Do you count them as your brother?
Will you care about what they need?
Or do you wait for another?
To give aid or them to feed?
Do you hide your face out of fear?
Look at them with Disgust?
Are you too busy to lend an ear?
Too petrified and jaded with mistrust?
Have you stood in their place?
Felt sick, hungry, alone?
Or do you think it's a disgrace?
To step down from your throne?
ONE: The question in this very human poem, has been answered in the title. Our heart has an enormous capacity, that's why.
