My Canadian Chronicles 002 Poem by David Harris

My Canadian Chronicles 002

Rating: 5.0

It was instant recognition
We just looked at one another
and instantly the years melted away.
With open arms, we hugged
neither wanting to let go.
A wonderful sensation
and then the talking began.

Author’s Note: This depicted the first meeting at the airport of a classmate Suzanne Gaddess after 51 years.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

David, isn't that instant recognition wonderful. It brought tears to my eyes. I will read some more poems and will see what else happened. A great start to a much anticipated trip. 10 Karin Anderson
