My Canadian Chronicles 12 Poem by David Harris

My Canadian Chronicles 12

Rating: 5.0

We sat there talking and talking
after a most wonderful day.
Recalling moments from our lives
that have passed by
in the twinkling of an eye.
The happiness and heartaches
each of us had encountered
through our growing years.
Time marched ever onward
unnoticed by us all
slipping through the hours
to finish a perfect day
until finally sleep called to us all
at two thirty in the morning
and we bid each other goodnight.
