My Dear One - Poem by caz smith

Dear chant
We used to fight
But I was always in the right
We used to dance
Now we don’t have a chance
Every day that goes by
Is another tear in my eye
Why did you leave me this way?
I say this all the time but you don’t hear what I say
You’re my cousin I ‘m missing my little treasure
So be safe in the lord’s care for ever and ever
If I could be there trust me I would
To bring you back if only I could
You were the best cousin and there’s no one I miss more
Your love of singing and your prettiness it what I adore
We can all cry but that doesn’t mean much
I wish once again I could feel you tender touch
Because
You made me laugh you bought a tear
I would do anything to have you near
I miss your smile I miss your grin I miss your dimples on your chin but I mostly miss you because of who you were
I will miss you greatly, but God needed another angel, and you already had the experience from your years here - guiding and loving all, you’re the closest family to this person
everything I do, everything I accomplish, I do with you in my mind and in my heart.
