My Dove Poem by Susheela Alexiose

My Dove

Rating: 5.0

Spread your wings of love over me
Cover me with silk
Let me become yours
All the days of my life

Wash me with hyssop
Anoint me with oil
Cloth me in embroidered linen
Adorn me with ornaments

Bestow on me your splendor
Remember your covenant with me
In the days of my youth
Establish an everlasting covenant with me

Let my love satisfy you
As we sink in deepest emotions
My turtledove, my spouse
Do not awaken love till we are content

My dove, the one whom I love
I will never let you go
As you have ravished my heart
With your love so strong as death
