My Farewell Poem by Anna Vessa

My Farewell

Rating: 3.8

I'm tired of trying,
Too tired to hide.
I just can't take it
The world's gone by.

I've withered and worn,
Torn straight to the soul.
No feeling of anguish,
No emotion at all.

Guess it's just time,
Goodbyes past due.
To go on is a sin,
So I bid you adieu.

Whenever one hits lowest ebb, I think that it's very important that one must hold on to faith, as faith keeps those that keep the faith. A brave one is the person that courageously faces a deplorable situation with strong resolve to overcome. It's a well articulated and nicely penned poem that captures your innermost feelings. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.

i believe this is about moving on and not giving up! It takes the brave to recognise what is not working and leave it behind for better things

Your poem sounds nice but not revealing the story behind it very well...I think its meaning is ambiguous. But if Kim Barney's understanding is right of your poem, it's not an option. Stay blessed.

Writing is good therapy. Reaching out through sharing poetry is a good start. I wish you peace, Anna

Don't do anything foolish. Suicide is never the answer. There are people who care about you. Send me a private message if you want to talk about anything.
