Dad you and me share a special bond

And the respect I have for you goes so far and beyond

The calmness, smiling face

Always goes with a wistful grace

A gentle man at heart

And all want you to be everyone's part

Having your share of ups and downs

But always smiles and never frowns

The laughter that we shared

Shows the way you always cared

Lessons which you taught me in my life

Made me a better daughter and wife

Sending me of with pride

As it was time for me to be a bride

And as you saw my fear

Gulped all your tears

With a heavy heart

We had to depart

Though we are far apart

We are still each other's part

Gods precious gift you as my Father

What I am today is from you what I gather

With you I am blessed
