My Fields Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

My Fields

My fields

River waters held sway
They have pulled away
Everything we had
We are simply dead

No animals
And people
No huts
Only helpless life but

We have attachment
To our land even if it has sent
Waves of destruction
No, nothing is left for eating as ration

Children are suffering
Ailing and endangering life
But we can do nothing for good food
They are given shelter in neighborhood

It is opening of nature's third eye
What shall we do or try?
We shall only watch with helplessness
Gloom and no future hope on face!

Niti Sharma Thanks for your thoughtful comment dear friend Hasmukh.your feelings for the flood affected lot is deep. What we can do? Yes we can support them as fellow human beings. In convenience of time we can visit the sight and offer whatever possible. Compassion is a big thing, we must feel it. The govt is also doing. Mental support too is a big thing. Yes I believe in third eye concept too Like · Reply · 1 · 49 mins
