My Friends
When in the evening
Darkness falls across the lands
Sitting in a cot in the verandah
I remembered my childhood friends
My friends who are
Dead and resting in their places
I can see them sleeping in peace
I clearly remember their smiling faces
Some of them have
Gone long, some recently died
They were jewels in our circle
In to a strong string our souls were tied
I remember them for
They had lessen burden of life
Time moved without any care
They were strength during time of strife
I drop tears for them
Wish to be with them again
Day is not far when for a place by
Their sides I will be making a bargain
friends are always our strength as well as weakness - thanks for sharing

A very touching poem, I can feel the pain of losing a true childhood friend although he died very young nevertheless a should is gone.
