My Gated Truth Poem by Laquory Jones

My Gated Truth

Richie tell me where you've been
Lately I've been stuck in isolation
Pain stricken with a pen
When will all of this come to an end
Hurt seeping through the skin
There's nights filled with sorrow
As I vent filled with bad news
Within the cycling bin
Screaming day out and day in
Just take this as my gated
Truth just speaking to the
Fragments within society

Same problems as I'm forced
To chew on who lives or dies
New born baby or the elderly
Wife who are they to decide
While playing "God" with
People lives I just break down
And cry its like no one's willing
To try people losing their jobs
Left and right and many lost
Their fight their will to survive

Right now it may seem as if not
One understanding your pain
The world has gone completely
Insane people hoping but its all
In vain millions unemployed
Trying to find their inner voice
Fired as if they had a choice
Humanity needs unity
More now than ever
I'm not trying to be clever
We're all going through this
Stormy weather together
I'm just hoping that soon
Things gets better
God Bless ps you're not alone
