My Guardian Angel Poem by Paula Glynn

My Guardian Angel

My guardian angel getting me
Out of bed in the morning every morning
Guiding me safely through morning traffic
Getting my work day over and done with
The office manic with activity every day.

My guardian angel letting me dance
Giving strange men at least some chance
Of becoming emotionally close to me
Offering me comfort in the nighttime
Holding me in their loving heart.

My guardian angel warning me of enemies
And how to sensibly and legally protect myself
There being no need for violence or revenge
Because friends will be friends
Fitting in my ultimate protection against evil.

My guardian angel helping me with intuition
Guiding me around treacherous waters
The other competitive mothers and their daughters
Wanting and fighting for social power
Their clever ways sneaky sometimes.

My guardian angel telling me the general future
Helping me win that general election
Helping me keep my personal power
My protection where friends are my selection
Seeing false promises and friendship a mile off.

My guardian angel listening to my prayers
Church life helping heal my tortured soul
Where I am free of poison and its sufferance
My soul guided by the holy white light
The angels joyfully singing with love in their hearts.

My guardian angel sending messages from God
Informing me of danger but also good times
Helping me become a good Samaritan
Where I guide people in their daily lives
And help them maintain social success and pride.
