My Guiding Star Poem by Lalay Allan

My Guiding Star

Rating: 5.0

A tiny speck
It shines and twinkles
In the dark, immense sky.
The nomads in the desert,
The sailors at sea;
They look up to see
The thick dark clouds
Part like curtains
Then, like a picture frame,
In the middle
Was that little star
Guiding the way.

I've wandered aimlessly
Through deserts and seas
Where to go
I didn't know.
The winds and tides
Sent me drifting
This way and that
Unnoticed, unseen.
Then the dark clouds parted
Then it was bright
I saw you, like a star
I followed you.
