My Head And My Heart - Poem by sandy nobody

every day
every night
between my head and my heart
there's a fight

my head says to go
my heart says to stay
what should i do
this isn't the way

my head says to hate
my heart says never
but i know
i can't go on like this forever

my head says forget about you
my heart says no
you are there forever
it'll never let you go

my head says you only hurt me
my heart doesn't care
it's been hurt before
by love unshared

my head is afraid
my head is a thinker
my heart is broke
my hearts a dreamer

my head says be careful
my heart says i try
life without love
i'd rather die
