My heart and my head
Which one shall I follow
The discrepancy between the two
Is hard to swallow
One leads to you
With who im falling in love
The other takes you away
Shattered be our dove
My heart draws me to you
Tells me stop thinking with my head
All the great things you are
And perfect things you’ve said
But certain things you do
Go against all I represent
If I let my head see past that
Myself I would resent
But every time im with you
My heart seems to get its way
I forget the things that taint you
They no longer stand in the way
But I must end this here
Before I get in too deep
For I know my head is right
Only memories of you shall I keep
Actually We got two always two comments from the brain and the heart, heart express our soft and love desires, and the brain advices the hard things with the profit and loss statement, thanks,10++
This is an excellent poem. Our heart and head can say very different things. You have completed the last stanza of this poem with wisdom. Karin Anderson
That's awesome! ! ! It goes right along what we were talking about! ! ! I like it a lot. Very well presented and very true. It's real.... if that makes sence :)
Although I'm a guy, this poem is easily ambiguous. Holds very true. I can sympathize.

This is a familiar battle. Sometimes a strong mind can avoid alot of emotional pain, but just as poigniant you may also avoid pleasure. It is a nice poem that explores this area.10/10
