Warm gleeming smiles of reasurance
is what I miss the most, that look somewhere
between, a devilish gleem, mixed with emotions
of contentment, and a hue of mysterious wonder
Years have passed and willowed many
avenues of adventure, some good some
bad, some with wealth, some with poverty
But never my love have I ever stopped to
remember that special gleem to your eye
that would grow to haunt me for a lifetime
Turning back the clock, and shutting out
the world, would not really be reality, but it
would sure be close to what we both so
desire, with NO REMORSE
So my love, you go to your world and I go
to mine, we walk different roads, but each
travel the same avenue
Somethings in life are left best unsaid
perhaps this is one of those moments in
life that best applies the given situation
however please know always
My heart belongs to only you.............
I am a rhythm and rhyme poet . So I prefer to read compositions that contain both. But I must tell you that your opening stanza is really one of the best written verses I have read. I just wanted you to know that. I'll try to return later and read more. I think I read about three of yours. Good luck. Greenwolfe 1962
God, i love the way you use words Bonnie. Another lovely example. Thanks for sharing. Regards. Craig.
