My Heart Is Heavy Poem by Linda Barnes

My Heart Is Heavy

Rating: 5.0

I woke this morning
After a restless night
You were in my dreams
Hauntingly asking why

No answers came last night
As your eyes had questioned
None would be coming to me
For you, answers are forthcoming

My heart is heavy
As I walked out my door
Confronted with a heavy mist
That clouds my mind even more

As I make my way this day
Tears roll down my face
For I will miss you
All my remaining days

I pray that you know
How much you are loved
Your pain and anger is over now
For God has taken you home

A very touching write. It captures beautifully the love and pain felt for a brother. Very well presented.10
