My Life In A Rose Poem by Laquory Jones

I've put my life in a Rose I'm eradicating fears
Because that's the life that I chose
I dream and arose all while
Facing the eye of the storm pain had hit
Me in intervals I continued to be swarmed
Feeling the tips of the sharpest swords
Hurt by the people whom had swore
Stating to me " Richie no more"
It hurts me at my core
That friends are wishing to never have
Been born too many friends lay buried
Upon the asphalt and I can't help but
Mourn and It doesn't get easier by the
Morns shattered youth still leaving me
Torn while grabbing life by the horns

I met a woman named Sherri a woman scorned
Because she miscarried and never once got to
Carry her baby-born in her arms forever still-born
In her womb told me she had a name for it too
Calling it "Cherished Virtue" showing me just a
Glimpse of her life but now she barely survives
Struggling just to get by in her head asking me why
But isn't that how things always seems to go 99%
Of the times there's no more twinkles in her eyes
At night she reads to herself lullabies
Because deep inside she really wants to cry

Her husband Larry every night would walk
Through the empty room wishing that he too
Could hear the baby coos I admit people take
In too much ridicules while going through life
As if they're stuck in Ernő Rubik's cubes
I could never really solve them but who could
Solve every life's problem asking me what
Would I do if I was put in their shoes if the
Shoe had been on the other foot
I admitted that I had no clue

Problems tends to get overlooked
People walking the world as if they have none
Not caring about people's feelings not even
For a fraction people's constantly going MIA
When the need of constant actions
Is in need of traction human interactions
Remaining stagnant inner thoughts hitting
Me like magnetite magnets lately I seem to
Just sink deep into the cerebrum of my mind
Reflecting back upon my life at times wishing
I could press rewind and find that center-line
Life's perfect balance be the definition of
Valiance for people searching for guidance too
Many of us suffering in silence in a world so
Dark and violent but we can change the
Status quo this I know for sure
