My Love Lost Poem by Kehinde Omotosho

My Love Lost

Oh my lover,
In her bosom I want to rest,
In her arms I want to sleep,
Her fragrance I want to smell,
Her presence soothes my soul,
Her touch gives me warmth

She's like the Lilly
Blooming and beautiful
Like the sunlight
She beams and brightens up my life
Like the moon at night
She gives me cold light

Clothed with beauty like the peahen
Dashing like a black fedora
Gentle as a lamb
Fierce like the wolf
Oh! I wish you never left me my love!

I wish you'd take me along,
Let me ride with you on the fields
Walk side by you in the alleys
Just like the old times
When our love still bloomed

When we used to run along in the alleys
When we rode ponies on the fields
When we fed the geese in a boat
Oh! How wonderful it was.
