You said you'd be gone
Only for a while
It's been years
Yet you haven't returned
You have taught us
To do the things
We couldn't do without you
Although we miss you
We can't get our message
Passes to you ‘cos
The land which you are gone
Is a land of no return
Wish we could have
Just one more touch
Of your gentle hands
And feel the warmth
Of you being around
Oh my friend I cried!
I felt my heart break
Having the realization
That you had succumbed
To cold death.
