My Love, You Let Go Poem by Linda Barnes

My Love, You Let Go

Rating: 5.0

I know I hurt you
I know I couldn't let you in
I know I blamed you
For not wanting us to end

I could have changed things
I could have never walked away
I should have known that
You would never lose your way

I kept you at a distance
I always needed you to love
I wish I could go back
And never let you go

If I could have shown you
How much I loved you so
But I was afraid to let it show
For you would never let me go

I tried to save you
From the hurt that would come
Only, I didn't know
It was my love, you let go
