I walked among the broken-hearted, low,
Where sorrow's shadows cast their endless shade,
To heal the wounds that only love can heal,
And bring the light where hopes and dreams had strayed.
The leper's cry, the beggar's trembling plea,
I answered not with scorn but tender grace.
For in their eyes, God's image called to me,
A spark of heaven's glory in each face.
To thieves, I spoke of paths that lead to peace,
A mercy vast as skies that kiss the earth.
For even in their darkness, love can cease.
The chains that bind the soul from being free.
Respect and dignity, compassion's thread,
I wove into the fabric of each deed.
The hungry fed, the weary gently led—
Their pain my burden, their hope my only creed.
Through empathy, I showed the Father's heart,
A kingdom not of power, but of light.
A realm where heaven's blessings never part,
And all who seek find refuge from the night.
