My Muse Poem by Liza Sud

My Muse

Rating: 5.0

My muse is dictating
Through all time duration –
In crisis –o wonder! –
She has inspiration!

Cause muse doesn’t know
What means to be hungry,
But knows to govern
Your voice and your body.

This poem is deeper than it seems on first reading. I think it's about a poet's muse (whatever inspires a poet to write in the first place) reaching forward in time, to coax the poet back to a memory where images reside of more joyous times, as if to remind the poet that she can shed unpleasant present feelings by letting her spirit draw from happier memories when one feels hungry (metaphor for a yearning to feel higher in spirits in the present moment): that there is always a wonderful memory to draw from when experiencing a temporary deficit in 'happy'.

My muse is dictating always day and night.. poetic inspiration is always there with us poets. in the night when we sleep sometimes we get ideas and imaginations and symbols which turn into beautiful poems on the paper. you have wonderfully expressed it here. thank you
