My New Shadow
I had developed a new shadow.
But this one did not share my thoughts or feelings.
It had an opinion of its own.
It had a different connection to me.
It never moved when sun light hit it,
But it wasn’t my shadow’s fault.
It had been placed next to me.
To protect what it knew to be true.
No one ever allowed to over step the mark,
Or once again I became a prisoner in my own home.
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
