If Only Poem by Frankie Stones

If Only

Rating: 4.4

If only you could see into my eyes,
And see the deep despair that you left inside.
The pain that kills.
And nothing fills the hole,
Your words are taking their toll.
My heart's broken,
With the words we both left unspoken.
The tears I cried,
The unforgettable goodbyes.
Is this the end?
Will we stay friends?

I like this Frankie...it is simple and direct and spot on. It looks like a song longing to be born...do you write lyrics? Love the first two lines...keep thinking if only this were a song...I would love to hear it! love Donall
