My Simple Life
I live my life in a very simple way
Before breaking of dawn I start my day
I wake up to the sound of the wall clock
Sit in the bed and for a while to Him silently pray
I live my life in a very simple way
I come out with first sign of the sun's ray
As dewdrops fall one by one from the grass
I look at the fronds that in the wind begin to sway
I live my life in a very simple way
I smile at birds fighting upon stacks of hay
Walking down the path to the silent valley
I watch morning worms in the soil carving a way
I live my life in a very simple way
I look at the sky as it turns silver to grey
Sitting by the stream on a stone I feel young
Looking at children jumping into water and play
I live my life in a very simple way
We are nothing but puppets made of clay
The exotic paintings on the nature's canvass
Will vanish when my breathe will be snatched away
A simple life, enjoying the simple things of life gives greater satisfaction than a life that is hectic, wallowing in the artificial luxuries of the world. Starting the day with the dawn with a prayer to God will make the whole day auspicious! Beautifully put!
Ah what lovely things may happen when you rise with the nature! And this lovely piece so well-crafted provides the proof. Philosophical at the end as is the Poet's wont.
