My Young Sleeping Beauty Poem by Allen Keith Turner

My Young Sleeping Beauty

My young sleeping beauty
Can't get out of bed.
Why do you want to sleep so much,
You can do that when your dead.
If you can get your eyes open,
You just might see
There is so much out there,
in the world, to be
Your darkened bedroom
is the only thing you see.
In the bed, under the covers
is such a lonely place to be.
Get out of that bed, Come out of that room
See what the world has to offer to you!
