my mother used to hope or pray it would rain at night so guests would be blessed with the sound peace of rain- - - - - - - - -> this rather offhand reference to a woman reveals what a lovely soul she had to think of praying for rain so that the people she welcomed into her home might have the soul-soothing sound of rain pitter-pattering on the tin roof- - lovely lovely poem- - 10++++++++++++ and onto my favorites

So very true. Night rain has always that soothing effect. Beautifully crafted with superb imagery.
