Mythology Poem by Unnikrishnan Sivasankara Menon

Mythology

Rating: 5.0

Myths are so ancient
Reflect an ancient culture.
Archaic, one may think.
But are contemporary
If seen from the ‘right' angle.

I had posted a rejoinder here to poets Richard v. for his comment here. But somehow, PoemHunter manages to make it vanish. What to do!

We learn a great deal of things from Indian Mythology. I have taken interest in Greek mythology after going through some of your poems. This is a very nice poem...liked it.

Mythology is reminiscent of the times they were composed. But, these ‘songs ‘ were passed on from generation to generation by ‘word of mouth', as printing and mass circulation was not prevalent. So every imaginative talented singer added value to the original. That is how they become immortal
