Naked as a New Born
It is November
The Fall has just fallen on the roadside
And snow has started falling
From the tall maple deciduous sky.
I wish I were the orange brown leaf
That has lost its foothold on the birch.
But, lo, I am the tree
Bereft of all its abscissive leaves
Naked as a new born.
A beautiful depiction of autumn. Without foliage, trees are still beautiful. Love the comparison to a new born.
Thank you Nosheen. Lovely observations. You are so ardent a nature lover, keen observer, so I expected such beautiful comments from you. And you did not disappoint me. Obliged.
