Naked Entrance Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Naked Entrance

Truth to fake it.
Take for granted,
Or deny its existence.
Has a way to make its own entrance.
That leaves no one to believe,
They alone can continue to deceive...
The nakedness of truth.

Truth can drop jaws.
Open eyes wider than ever before.
Leaving few left unable to admit,
They now prefer...
To have their truth to get naked.
Than the days they had wished,
It kept covered up under pretensions.

"I had always been told,
Once truth is revealed...
Hard it is to keep it controlled.
Now I can understand,
Just how seductive it is."

-Wow!
I agree.
And unafraid it is,
To flaunt the benefits it offers.-

"And this I allowed and permitted,
Myself to stay away from? "

-I'm sorry.
Do you mind repeating that.
What did you say?
I was pre-occupied with imagination.-
