Names Poem by David Harris

Names

Through the years we gather names
of people we know or have known.
As time passes some we forget
while others stay fresh in our memory.
Some rest on the tip of our tongue,
while others we have to think
long and hard about.
Like faces some get blurred
within the march of time,
yet some seem so fresh
and are with us all the time.
Those names belong to people
who live close to our heart
and their name will never be forgot
even when we embark on a new start.
