Nature And Man Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Nature And Man

Rating: 5.0

The roaring sounds of thunder we hear
and take to our heels to safety in fear.
The flashes of lightning keep our eyes closed.
The trembling earth often shatters our hope
and soon follows the gigantic earthquake!
The battering storms and cyclones forewarn
how they will uproot trees and wipe out life.
Floods, tsunamis, pouring showers and ghosts
are causing fears before they begin to hit.
Coming natural calamities make forecasts
before they strike and the destruction hike.

Men and women indulge in violating their rights.
Man-found religions create bigots rude and wild
They spit at each other and fight for foolish causes.
Man-made bombs make a holocaust to kill people.
Man-made Covid-19 and other forms of Virus
torture the humans before they kill.
Biological wars and Celestial stand-off
are the devastating creations of man.
There are paid-killers, hooligans and mafias
to kill their fellow beings for some gains.
Seeingcorruption everywhere, we feel it a waste
to be born an honest man in the earth.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Kumarmani Mahakul 21 May 2020

The roaring sounds of thunder sometimes frightens us and sometimes gives us pleasure. Nature is ever wonderful. The flashing light brightens us and we feel the nature so closely looking at sky. God does miracle through natural laws. Men and women indulge in violating their rights and nature reacts in many ways. Corona has frightened us but we hope this will go away soon. This poem is brilliantly penned. I put my historic 40,270th comment in this poem (Forty thousand two hundred and seventy)
