Nature's Promise Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Nature's Promise

She walks as a silhouette
with a glowing orange sunset
at her back…being free of regret

Crackling leaves beneath her feet
speak of a season that is complete
With each step the verse repeats...

Shadows are absorbed into the night
As stars and moon bestow light
A comforting glow extends her sight

Reflections disperse in a rippling pond
carrying thoughts from here to beyond...
floating effortlessly as though a swan

Quiet peacefulness lifts all concerns
Calmness surrounds as memories burn…
Her last breath whispers of spring's return
