'' Nature's Wrath '' Poem by Bri Mar

'' Nature's Wrath ''

We acted in haste,
With our nuclear waste,
To bury it we just couldn't wait,
Where it was placed,
Now cannot be traced,
Now our children are left to their fate.

After thousands of years,
It just disappears,
Into the bowels of the Earth,
No more fears,
No need to shed tears,
Of facts there is such a dearth.

How do they know?
It will no longer glow,
As a power it's relatively new,
No scientist can show,
Radiation won't flow,
More dangers it may well accrue.

Free energy for all?
As a tale it's tall,
For weaponry this power was designed,
Now we cannot stall,
As from grace we fall,
To its faults the human is blind.

This planet is alive,
What makes it thrive,
Is its ability to MOVE with the times,
It cannot survive,
With what we contrive,
Splitting atoms is but one of our crimes.

From its concrete bed,
This cancer then spread,
Nothing that lived was spared,
The Earth turned red,
The planet was dead,
Our actions were finally bared.

Following this route,
Was a deadly pursuit,
By taking this dangerous path,
The situation's acute,
Our demise absolute,
We've invoked what is,

‘' Natures Wrath ‘'
