Nature's Fury. Poem by Nabakishore Dash

Nature's Fury.

Earth quakes in Turkiye and Syria
have decimated properties
and lives,
communities are shaken.
Protracted war by
President Putin has
devastated bread baskets and
and lives in Ukraine.
The former is Nature's fury
and the latter is orchestrated
by human.
Both justify that properties and
lives are transitory possessions.
Politicians everywhere vaunt
tall talks to make their
nation the best one.
This is just a gimmick
and daydream to grab
power and properties
after winning the election.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Even though properties and lives are ephemeral possessions, man still is mad after them.

Actually, 'one' was one too many. I won't say I agree with everything in your poem, but thanks for expressing your thoughts. bri : )

I don't THINK A. Hitler was ever elected, nor was Queen Elizabeth II. I suppose they both had good and bad times in office. I think only one of them wa crazy. One was enough!

I do not believe in 'God' or god(s) , but if he/she/it/they DOES/DO exist, wouldn't it be nice if one of 'them' would help make life enjoyable for ALL? ! !

'ephemeral ĭ-fĕm′ər-əl adjective Lasting for a markedly brief time.' Believe it or not, I, Bri, 'had to' look up the definition. Somehow I 'survive' while NOT knowing the meanings of MANY English words; but MANY I DO know also. ;)

I use 'Turkey'. And tonight I fly back to U.S. with Biden; while in flight we will plan our next conquest of another country!
