A morning of gray the sun’s not around
Grass is still crunchy there is frost on the ground
Mountains are topped with snowy white caps
Bears in their caves for the long winter nap
A snow rabbit bounds through the forest unseen
Blends with the white of the cold crisp scene
Blue jays and cardinals decorate the bare trees
Like ornaments of Christmas they brightly appease
Smoke rise from chimneys a warm fireplace
Gives one the feeling of serenity and grace
Jackets and mittens, people scurry around
Cold winter winds keep some home bound
The last leaf has fallen from a now bare tree
Temperature has dipped to minus thirty degree
Pine tree branches burdened and bent low
Heavy they are with the weight of the snow
Windows are painted by the hand of Jack Frost
Intrigue designs feathered and embossed
Although it is gloomy I still have to smile
As I enjoy natures painting mile after mile
You Paint very well the scene, Just beautiful... Andrew 10
