Near The East Of Heaven Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Near The East Of Heaven

Meet me near the east of Heaven.
There I will be.
Awaiting before dawn,
To feel and witness the Sun.
As I wonder from where its birth,
Had begun.
To bestow upon me life.
And all that which surrounds me,
I am grateful and blessed to witness.
See.
As my reality to believe.
But then again if there is a Heaven...
Will there be a Sun to set in the West.
Or should I now make all requests,
My wish is to be met East.
Where I've heard is the best place in Heaven.
To meet and greet,
All that begins anew.
