Neglect To Forget - Poem by Robert Araya

Can't forgive nor forget
bad memories I neglect...
To reject all the effects of the past...
Pictures, letters, gifts are all trashed...
Its just how I feel
and its real
feelings I should have never kept them stashed...
No more questions asked
LOVE? shattered like a falling cup of glass
to forget the past...
No more remenesing good times, only bad times
to spark anger...
I thank God I did'nt end up sadly ever after...
Looking back, emotion type 'laughter'!
Leaving you was Happily ever after!
Life goes on when you NEGLECT TO FORGET...

Robert, kind of a twist on forgive and forget. I guess it's better that we don't forget... we learn and move on. Good write! ! (Report) Reply

Woah- deep stuff, buddy! I totally agree with the sentiment of this poem- forget, refresh and carry on! Keep up the good work :) (Report) Reply
